- Richard Stelnik is admitted to practice law in the state courts of New York and New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
- He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1974 where he majored in psychology. He received his juris doctor degree from New York Law School in 1977. He has knowledge of Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.
